Who Am I?

From Ohio to Florida to California... the journey...

TeeShane, or Trevor Shane was born in 1973 to Dwaine Robert and Carolyn "Sue." I grew up with a wonderful loving family along the side of my baby sister, Tiffany Nicole, in Newark, Ohio. Newark is just east of the State's capitol, Columbus. Growing up, my family traveled to the Tampa Bay area (Clearwater Beach) every summer to enjoy the gulf and visit with my Mother's dad. The beach was my favorite, and still is today! My high school life was a fun one too. While attending Newark High School, I was involved in many different things. Taking most of my time was the theatre. NHS had the best of everything - sports, class selection, teachers, radio, and television. The drama department was no exception. Intro to Acting, Acting I, Acting II, Set Design, Stage Production, and Lighting Design were just a few of the classes I took. I was also a part of the Acting Ensemble Group my senior year. I was involved in every production during my three years at NHS. I graduated from Newark High School in 1991 with many friends.

Turning down a scholarship award for acting, I went on to attend Ohio State University for Elementry Education.

Go Bucks!

With both of their kids out of the house now, my parents left Newark and moved directly west to the small town of Greenville, situated just ten minutes from the Indiana border and about 30 miles north-northwest of Dayton. Poor employment opportunities in Newark and the offer from my father to take me in again, led to my move to Greenville. Not long under my parent's roof, I moved out of Greenville to St. Henry. Talk about a city boy in the country, this was the story. St. Henry is out in the middle of western Ohio farmland, north of Greenville about 25 miles. At the time I was working for a small computer sales and service store in Greenville. The small farm house I was renting in St. Henry was nice, and the night views of the sky were awesome, but the treacherous winter driving over country roads weren't to my liking! Not to mention, having to drive forty minutes to get to a store wasn't all that fun either. It was time to buy a house, and in Greenville closer to work.

In 1997, I found better employment with a large computer manufacturer in their Customer Support Department, and spent the next six years happy there and working on my early 1900's Victorian home. Four months into my seventh year in the customer support department, and after some major changing of hands with management, the company started their major reorganization. I found myself, along with hundreds of others, out of a job.

This brings us to October 2003 and to Tampa Bay... [read more]
